SRIJANPATH
SrijanPath, an initiative of SAMVAW Foundation, addresses the pressing need for skill development in the Media and Entertainment (M&E) industry, identified through a baseline survey conducted in Northern India. The survey revealed a significant gap in access to training and resources among school-going young adults and youth studying in different colleges, polytechnics, and universities, particularly from marginalized communities.
Aligned with the Government of India’s ‘Create in India’ programme that promotes World Audio Visual & Entertainment Summit (WAVES), SrijanPath seeks to bridge this gap by empowering youth with essential skills in content creation, digital storytelling, audiovisual production, and entrepreneurship.
The survey highlighted the untapped creative potential of these youth, many of whom lack exposure to digital tools and platforms required to thrive in the creator economy.
Through targeted training programmes and mentorship, SrijanPath enables participants to harness their creativity and compete on both domestic and global platforms.
By addressing the identified needs, SrijanPath not only supports India’s ambition to bolster its M&E sector but also promotes inclusivity and equitable opportunities. The project ensures that creativity becomes a driving force for economic empowerment and global recognition, while fostering sustainable growth and social progress among India’s next generation of creators.
